Australian Seating Systems – Sydney 2000 Olympic Games
The following page details the scope of work undertaken by Australian Seating Systems at
The Sydney 2000 Olympic Games. Australian Seating Systems produced over 1250 design drawings for 16 Sydney 2000 venues.
The design brief provided for change as the venues evolved and were subsequently signed off by SOCOG and the International Olympic Committee.
Conceptual drawings from architects were adapted as a guide to the seating draughtsman & engineers to provide solutions for the many operational issues of the seating bowl and its fit out.
Broadcast, Press, Olympic family, Sport, Accredited patrons, persons with disabilities and the general public were accommodated according to ticketing and Australian Seating Systems played a pivotal role in advising on all temporary seating issues to ensure their expectations were documented accurately.
