IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE TO ALL USERS OF TEMPORARY GRANDSTAND SEATING
The Building Control Commission of Victoria incorporates relevant Australian standards in to its occupancy permits for temporary seating.
To provide all of our clients with certification by an independent engineer, compliance with the specific Australian standards is mandatory.
Legal Responsibility
The legal implications of using temporary seating systems which do not comply with the current Australian Standards and therefore cannot be certified, exposes the practitioners and the client to enormous risk.
Assurance
Australian Seating Systems P/L hereby advises all clients that we have reviewed and modified all non compliant structural elements to meet the current standards.
Independent certification will be provided by certifying engineers.
Standards Enquiry
Please direct any questions in relation to the new standards to either Lindsay Burgess or Nick Grigg at Australian Seating.
New Standards
New Australian standards have been implemented and we have initiated a complete review of our systems in accordance with their content.
We refer to the following Australian Standards Loading Codes:
AS1170/2002 General requirements
AS1170-1/2002 Permanent imposed and other actions ( i.e. crowd and handrail loads)
AS1170-2/2002 Wind action
In particular, the additional loading codes, which are incumbent on all seating companies to comply with, have been fully evaluated and where necessary, implemented in our systems.
